Hi, my name is Shelly and are you ready for this? I'm 50, but I still love to rock out! I love The 69 Eyes! I first saw them on Viva La Bam, and from being a Huge HIM fan. Last year I was lucky enough to see them at Helldone. I could have seen Him in more than one city at Helldone last year, but I really had to see The Eyes at Tavastia, could not pass that up! And it was so worth it! Can't wait for the concert here in Minnesota on Oct. 25th, my son is going to be my date, he quite likes them too!

It's good to hear other "Older" people love them too! The best thing about the concerts in Helsinki is that the bands actually come into the audience to watch the other bands. And of course the venue is small, so it's more personal. It's kinda like the Rock, or First Avenue. One night Ville (HIM) was standing right by the control booth watching the show and Gas was in the audience and hanging out by the bar. Last year Jussi was standing in between my hubby and I talking to a friend. People don't mob their band fav's there like we do here. It seems they give them space. But then again that could be at Tavastia only. I never seen anyone famous on the streets. If you ever get a chance to go you should. It's a beautiful town, we went 2 years in a row, it was warmer there and no snow at all. Although I guess that's out of character. Never the less, it was a blast!

it seems to be like that in other places in finland to, at least judging from the videos i've seen. i'd like to go to tampere too, lots of good bands there. i was talking to someone online from rovaniemi and she said it was warmer there then it was here, it's too bad that it's not snowing as much anymore.

People in Finland don't mob musicians like they would here... I've had quite long conversations with Finns about that same subject when I spent time in Finland. I like that much better. (I've seen Alexi Laiho eating at a Mexican place in Helsinki and no one bothered him....and I've seen a few other musicians at various places in Helsinki.)

Well, I'm 32, and plan on being a little fan girl for as long as I can stay out all night long and party! I saw the Eyes Monday night...Did the math today and I was awake for 41 straight hours (still had to go to work after the show!) From what I've been told, because Finland is so small, everyone knows everyone else, and it's not a big deal to see musicians out and about. So, maybe people are just used to it and don't think it's a big deal. I love how they just hang out with people. I think here in America that kind of behavior is unusual because musicians (as well as other types of celebrities) are too good for stuff like that. So, when an American is around and sees the "normal behavior" it's just overwhelming.

It's sad, but it will never be like that here, thanks to the paparzzi and all. I saw them in Minnesota last night, and they were amazing! Met them at the meet and greet, and they were all so nice! They said they like it here in Minnesota because of the Finnish history here. ;D They noticed I was wearing my Helldone T-shirt from last year when they played, so they thought it was cool that I had been to Helsinki. They wanted to know how I liked their country. Like other Finn's I have spoke to, they say you need to visit Helsinki in the summer time, it is the best. I hope I can someday!
