I usually read a couple books at once. One at work, one before going to bed, and one that I pick up every now and then when I need something different.
Right now, I'm reading: The Historian - Elizabeth Kostova : Very interesting book. Sort of a different take on the Dracula mythology with a more historical and less fantastic POV. The writing is a little sloppy in places, but it's an interesting story.
Vanity Fair - I can't believe it has taken me so long to pick this up. I really like this book so far. I know now why this is considered such a classic. I really love the sardonic tone that Thackery takes with his characters and the society they move in.
The Great Divorce - I'm taking this one piece by piece. It's a very thin book compared to most of the doorstoppers I have, but incredibly thought provoking.

Fool's Errand (The Tawny Man Book 1) by Robin Hobb Yes, I've finally started the second trilogy! I don't pretend to know much about fantasy books, my fare has always been more vamps and werewolves, and even then I had stopped reading as often as I used to but I've made it a habit again recently. (Helps with my writing...who knew? haha) Anyway, I always figured fantasy books for were for Lord of the Rings nerds and they were all pretty much one and the same. But a friend recommended the first trilogy, the Farseer Trilogy, to me a few years ago and I can tell you they are top notch and original!
