I am pretty sure she did not mean that as an insult. Just that as you get older jealousy seems-as she phrased it-ridiculous because as you experience more in life you gain more self confidence and such. (correct me if I am assuming wrong Mama)
Jealousy comes from insecurity.
Insecurity comes from youth and lesser experience in life and from still learning of yourself.
We were all young once.
Now people that are her age or my age and are STILL jealous....THAT is just laughable to me.
I do not understand jealousy, honestly even young I was not jealous but I do know that many in their teens and early 20's are jealous to one degree or another. No need to be as it really is a self confidence issue but it happens to more than to those that do not get jealous at those ages. Self confidence comes with experience and learning more about yourself. Not wrong. Not right-just is.

I was actually referencing the people jealous of Victoria and her friend with Acey. In general jealousy is a bad thing. I was never one to be jealous or envious of anyone. It is one thing to wish you could be there or be sad that you can't go, etc... ;-)
The funny thing is especially with bands and famous people...what exactly are people jealous of? They meet fans. That's it...they are not making life long friendships with these people.

It's the thrill you get of meeting them once in your lifetime. I realize they aren't going to be lifelong friends, but to be able to at least say Hi and to get a hug out of it, it's just an amazing feeling. It's like you're meeting a hero of yours, and it's something that you probably won't ever forget. (If that person means a lot to you). I'll openly admit I'm a jealous person, but I try not to show it that much because I tend to come off bitchy. (Even though I am a bitch =\) I'm slowly changing my ways though, mellowing out and becoming more mature. Ha, but still. It'd be hella nice to meet The 69 Eyes. ^.^ Or anyone Scandinavian for that matter, there's just this thing about them that I have...Just gah. ^.^ Hahaha I hope you lot that get to go have fun, and have mmoorree fun for me. By the way..Who's going to Ruise Rock? I heard HIM and The 69 Eyes are going to be there. XD My mum said I could go..till I dropped the word "Finland" XD

I am pondering Ruisrock. Nothing def. yet.
Yah, you are right Mama-it is one thing to be sad over not being there and quite a different thing to be mad jealous. My friend, Acey and I trid to make the girls feel 'part of our pack'. We talked with them, included them in shared stories etc. They talked some but stayed distant. We actually left them with Acey (time for us to go) thinking they would probably lavish their time with him 'without us' but apparently not. Yah, most of these musicians see hundreds of people a month. Hard to remember names and faces like that sometimes.
I do get that rush thing Kaha is talking about but I never got it very much. to me they just have very awesome jobs. Maybe if I had not been exposed to musicians all my life I might react differently. Meting admired musicians is still always cool though.

MMhhmm. ^.^ My brother is working in a recording studio, he's traveled with a broadway show doing their music and some of their lighting, he's done gigs and stuff for a few bands. XD I'm just waiting for him to get that 'rarely-ever-happens-but-because-you-got-lucky' moments and he'll work with The 69 Eyes on something, because he doesn't even like them XDD He'd have to take me to Finland or I'd murder him. Family love right? ANYWHO, I've been wanting to go to Ruis Rock for a few years now. (Well Since I found out about, which I don't know when that was...I have the memory of a golfish(& if you don't know what that is its five seconds)) But yes, until I'm eighteen, no Finland.

I listened to Jussi's show last week or the week before that and Jussi promoted Trash Fest telling people to go there and I think he also said Acey Slade might a guest on his radio show. I guess we'll find out more later on. I have a ticket so I'll be there but I don't know for sure how many friends will come with me, it depends on so many things. As far as festivals go, I think Ruisrock is a festival from hell *rant*... but somehow I end up going there almost every year, lol. Word of advice, if you are coming to Ruisrock, it's best if you book your hotel room well in advance and try to get some kind of journalist or photo pass so you can ride the river boats and won't have to walk miles in the middle of nowhere to get to the area. But they've got so many great bands that I'll probably go this year too
